Clinical Indications
Hypertension, first or second degree atrial-ventricular block, gastritis, Meniere's disease, hyperthyroidism, epilepsy, postconcussion syndrome, neurosis, schizophrenia, hysteria, menopausal syndrome.
Symptoms & Signs
Sensation of heaviness throughout body, fullness in chest, inability to rotate trunk, delirious speech, agitation, irritability with occasional palpitations, fright.
Precautions
Contraindicated in the absence of replete heat.
Pulse Quality
Replete, rapid and wiry.
Tongue Appearance
Red tongue with a possible slimy coating.
