This formula addresses kidney and liver yin vacuity that gives rise to eye disorders. Symptoms of this pattern are general ones such as thirst, dry mouth, heat in the palms and soles, tidal fevers, steaming bones and night sweats and eye-specific ones such as blurred vision and dry eyes.

Enriches yin, supplements the kidneys and liver, clears liver heat and brightens the eyes.*
Clinical Indications
Treats disturbances of the eyes such as blurry vision, dry eyes and wind-induced lacrimation.

Dry eyes, blurred vision, excessive tearing.
Precautions
Not suitable for acute eye disorders where a prominent kidney yin-vacuity pattern does on exist.
Pulse Quality
Fine and rapid.
Tongue Appearance
Tender and red with scant fur.
