Clinical Indications
Chronic pharyngitis, pertussis, pulmonary tuberculosis, cor pulmonale, chronic bronchitis, bronchiectasis, pneumonia, silicosis, spontaneous pneumothorax, laryngitis, vocal cord polyps, and laryngeal carcinoma.
Symptoms & Signs
Hot palms and soles, fatigue, night sweats, dry and sore throat, thirst and hacking cough with scanty, possible blood-streaked sputum.
Precautions
Contraindicated for exterior conditions. Use cautiously in cases of spleen vacuity with loose stools.
Pulse Quality
Rapid and fine.
Tongue Appearance
Red with scant coating.
