Clinical Indications
Anemia, constipation, neurogenic headache, dysmenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, threatened miscarriage, postpartum weakness, and scanty lactation.
Symptoms & Signs
Pale, lusterless complexion, tendency toward cold, easily-fatigued extremities, reduced appetite, laconic speech, vertigo, sores that refuse to heal, tinnitus, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, spermatorrhea, leukorrhea, absent or scant menstruation, painful menstruation, irregular menstruation, continuous spotting, lochiorrhea.
Precautions
Do not use without modification in high fever, yin vacuity with exuberant fire, or accumulation and stagnation with qi distention.
Pulse Quality
Fine, wiry and fine, or choppy pulse.
Tongue Appearance
Pale tongue.
