Blood vacuity. Liver depression. Blood stasis. Vacuity cold of penetrating and conception vessels. Spleen vacuity dampness and turbidity pouring downward.
Therapeutic Functions
Courses the liver and resolves depressing, quickens the blood and transforms stasis, warms the menses and scatters cold, supplements the spleen and kidney, nourishes blood, and checks vaginal discharge.*
Clinical Indications
Leukorrhea, premenstrual syndrome, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, endometriosis.
Symptoms & Signs
Pale face, fatigue, insomnia, headache, leukorrhea, scant or absent menstruation, irregular menstruation, painful menstruation, menorrhagia.
Precautions
Contraindicated for stasis due to repletion. Contraindicated for abnormal bleeding due to heat.
Pulse Quality
Wiry, fine, vacuous.
Tongue Appearance
Pale, possible slimy coat.
