Clinical Indications
Anemia, constipation, neurogenic headache, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, threatened miscarriage, postpartum weakness, and scanty lactation.
Symptoms & Signs
Pale, lusterless complexion, easily-fatigued extremities, reduced appetite, laconic speech, vertigo, sores that refuse to heal, tinnitus, dizziness, palpitations, shortness of breath, spermatorrhea, leukorrhea, amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, continuous spotting, threatened miscarriage, lochiorrhea.
Precautions
Do not use without modification in high fever, yin vacuity with exuberant fire, or accumulation and stagnation with qi distention. Discontinue use during external pathogenic invasion.
Pulse Quality
Fine, wiry or fine, choppy pulse.
Tongue Appearance
Pale tongue.
