Dao Earth wisdom is an orientation which has been inspired by the sages for thousands of years. In past ages and through generations, sages lived in and studied nature. As knowledge accumulated and living skills were mastered, oral traditions developed that would become the basis of traditional wisdom and customs. This Dao Earth wisdom is clearly a treasure which if understood, offers each of us and our communities a path to well-being, thereby preserving the Way for future generations.

Dao Earth culture has evolved over time—even through times of upheaval—as sages provided and clarified Teachings on the Way. The classical knowledge of the Sages became the organizing theme on which Asian civilization is based, informing and penetrating all aspects of society to guide humanity.
Over time these oral traditions were collected and written down to become what is often referred to as the Classics.
