Sourcing

Quality Products begin with
quality raw materials

Although herb sourcing can at times be an inexact process, Far East Summit relies on experienced physicians and highly trained professionals to use all the tools and resources at their disposal to properly identify and source quality raw herbals.

Quality Products begin with quality materials

Our herbs are gathered in harmony with the tradition of the Dao Di Yao Cai. Individual herbs are harvested and processed according to oral tradition during the proper season from the region where the herbs’ properties are the most potent.

Nearly all of the herbs used in our products come directly from China, harvested from specific bio-regions according to this ancient Dao Earth herbal tradition. Prior to processing in our facility, our experienced staff verifies proper herb identification by organoleptically examining all raw materials for acceptable taste, color, smell, cut, and texture.

Supporting a Network of Earth Friendly Growers & Suppliers

Far East Summit is an active supporter of a network of herb growers and wildcrafters who are selected by our suppliers who make continued efforts to provide chemical and sulfur free raw herbs according to Dao Earth principles. The superior qualities of our products are a direct reflection of efficient growing, processing, purchasing, packaging and importing.

Herbal Tradition

Chemical & Sulfur-Free

Chinese herbs can be treated with sulfur to preserve them for warehousing. In some instances, these herbs are warehoused for extended periods of time. This is why Far East Summit makes every effort to support our Earth friendly growers and supplier to help mitigate warehousing so the herbs can be brought to market as quickly as possible.

Lab ANALYSIS

The Herbal Alchemy of Pao Zhi

One of the lesser known "Arts" of refining herbal medicinals is Pao Zhi, the traditional Chinese medicine practice of processing raw herbs using heat, water, or other liquids such as wine, vinegar, or honey. This preparation can reduce toxicity, minimizes side effects, enhances potency, and directs the herb's energetic properties.
