Clinical Indications
Amenorrhea, dysmenorrhea, dysfunctional uterine bleeding, endometriosis, and uterine fibroids.
Symptoms & Signs
Periumbilical and lower abdominal pain, abdominal mass with recurrent pain, scant or absent menstruation, painful menstruation, irregular menstruation, menorrhagia.
Precautions
Contraindicated in the absence of blood stasis or qi stagnation. Contraindicated in cases of yin vacuity from blood loss. Do not use during pregnancy.
Pulse Quality
Wiry or choppy.
Tongue Appearance
Purplish spots, sides or center.
