Precautions
If used long-term, one must monitor the patient’s yin and qi because of the large number of dispersing and drying (acrid and bitter) herbs in this formula.
Pulse Quality
For acute conditions, a floating and rapid or slippery pulse; for chronic conditions, a rapid pulse.
Tongue Appearance
For acute conditions, unremarkable with perhaps a thin, yellow fur; for chronic conditions, a red tongue with yellow fur.
