Clinical Indications
Pulmonary tuberculosis, hypertension, chronic nephritis, chronic glomerulonephritis, urinary tract infection, impotence, failure to thrive, diabetes, hyperthyroidism, neurasthenia, senility, central retinitis, optic neuritis, optic nerve atrophy, vaginitis.
Symptoms & Signs
Bone-steaming and tidal fevers, heat in the palms, soles of feet and heart, insomnia, vertigo, dizziness, night sweat, dry mouth, dry throat, sore throat, tinnitus, deafness, vacuity-fire toothache, wasting and thirsting, low back and knee soreness and weakness, nocturia, dysuria, spermatorrhea, impotence, vaginal itching, abnormal vaginal discharge, and menorrhagia.
Precautions
This formula has cloying properties and should be used with caution in cases with indigestion and white slimy tongue coating due to spleen vacuity and dampness, or in cases of diarrhea.
